ESENCOR, our copper tube guaranteed for 30 years against corrosion

Copper remains the benchmark material for sanitary water systems: it is naturally antibacterial, durable and endlessly recyclable. Our ESENCOR tube is made from phosphorus-deoxidised copper (Cu-DHP), with a bright inner surface and a roughness of around a tenth of a micron, which limits deposits and pressure losses.

EN 1057 sets out the chemical composition, dimensions, mechanical properties and marking of seamless round copper tubes for hot and cold water, gas, liquid fuels, heating and waste water drainage. Every tube is marked along its length (standard, diameter, wall thickness, date of manufacture), ensuring full traceability on site.

Coils, straight lengths or pre-insulated: the right packaging for every job

Annealed tube (R220) in 50 m or 35 m coils is easy to bend by hand and reduces the number of fittings. Half hard (R250) and hard drawn (R290) 5 m straight lengths suit exposed pipework and large diameters, up to 108 mm.

For underfloor heating and concealed pipework, we also offer PVC sheathed copper tube (25 m coils, 2 mm sheath, suitable from -80 °C to +100 °C) and TEN sheathed tube with M1-rated polyethylene foam (50 m coils, 6 to 9 mm insulation), which protect the tube and reduce heat losses.

  • Annealed R220 coils: 6x1 to 22x1 mm, 35 or 50 m
  • Half hard R250 straight lengths: 12x1 to 28x1 mm, 5 m
  • Hard drawn R290 straight lengths: 6x1 to 108x2.5 mm, 5 m
  • PVC sheathed and TEN sheathed tube, 12x1 to 22x1 mm

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which standard applies to copper plumbing tube?

EN 1057. It covers seamless round copper tubes for hot and cold water, gas, heating and drainage. Our tubes are CE marked and covered by NF certification.

What is the difference between annealed, half hard and hard drawn copper tube?

Annealed tube (R220) is soft, can be bent by hand and is supplied in coils. Half hard (R250) and hard drawn (R290) tube is rigid, supplied in 5 m straight lengths, and suits exposed pipework and large diameters.
